Computer Market Research Buyer Map

Del Heles | Computer Market Research | October 2026

As of 13 Oct 2026

Computer Market Research makes channel management software for manufacturers and distributors. Its partner portal runs co-op and MDF funds, deal registration, rebates, ship and debit and channel sales data in one place.

This map lays out the groups of organizations that run those programs, how large each group is where a clean public count exists, and who usually signs off inside each one.

The groups follow the manufacturers and distributors the site says it serves, starting with technology hardware makers and the distributors that carry their products.

Where the buyers sit

Counts are firms, not sites, and are banded on purpose. A group with no clean public count says so rather than showing a number. Not every firm in a counted group sells through partners, so read each count as the outer edge of that group.

Who usually signs off, by group

Titles vary with size. At a smaller maker the head of sales or the founder often holds most of these seats.

What each group is weighing

GroupWhat moves the decision
Makers with co-op and MDF programsClaims checked by hand, slow approvals that hold back partner campaigns, and proof that fund spend turned into sales
Makers with many resellersTwo partners claiming the same deal, how fast a registration is approved, and a clean record of who owns each deal
Makers paying volume rebatesSell-through data they can trust, rebate amounts finance can stand behind, and partners who can see where they stand
DistributorsClaims for many vendors at once, proof of performance on vendor funds, and getting paid back on time
Dealer-led makers, heating and cooling among themCo-branded campaigns dealers will actually run, dealer co-op claims, and one brand across local marketing

How the decision usually runs

At most makers the channel or partner program lead feels the problem first, usually when claims, deal registrations and rebate files outgrow spreadsheets and email. Channel marketing often owns the co-op and MDF budget and runs the search, and finance joins once accruals, payouts and audit records are on the table.

Sales operations and IT come in when the portal has to connect to the CRM or ERP. A first program, such as deal registration or one co-op fund, often goes live before the rest of the partner portal follows.

Where to start

Lead with the free trial on one program

Your site offers a free trial. Pointing it at one program the channel lead still runs by hand, a co-op fund, deal registration or a volume rebate, gives them a small first step that finance can approve without a full rollout.

Send the right guide to the right seat

Your blog publishes practical guides on partner content and on connecting a partner portal to the ERP. Sending the ERP guide to sales operations and the content guide to channel marketing gives each person on this map something useful to forward inside their company.

Open with the words of a peer

Your site already carries quotes from channel and marketing leaders at the makers you serve, on deal registration reports, sell-through data and partner campaigns. Matching the quote to the group you are writing to gives the channel lead a peer result to react to before any demo.

Built from public federal registries and the company's own website, counts banded deliberately.
